Name: SIMB3 2024U — sea ice deployment data
Creator: Cryosphere Innovation

Co-deployed by Mario Hoppmann of AWI with WHOI ITP96, weather station DAMP010, a Snow Buoy, a SIMBA, and a Drift-Towing Ocean Profiler (DTOP).

Ice thickness at deployment. Variable at deployment site between 1-2 meters.

Cryosphere Innovation Seasonal Ice Mass Balance Buoy (Version 4) with a standard sensor configuration and an embedded digital temperature string.

SIMB3 2024U

Standard sensor suite for the version 4 SIMB3s (2023 - present) with the embedded 160 sensor digital temperature string.

Bosch BME280 combination pressure, temperature and humidity sensor.

DS18B20 air temperature sensor located at the top of the buoy surounded by a radiation shield. Located approximately 1.2 meters above the ice surface.
